This guide is, like, super cool and will only show the guide up to what you've unlocked. No spoilers for you!
guide content (accessibility)Welcome to idle2! The start of the game is pretty simple--just buy Generators whenever possible until you unlock Rocket Fuel.
Click the button in the settings labeled "(Debug) Gain 1 Point" to reach 2 points. It's not actually there for debugging. The rest of this section should be fairly straightforward.
Rocket Fuel gives you velocity, which gives you distance, which multiplies point gain. Just buy Rocket Fuel and Generators. Don't stress yourself. Buy. Buy. Buy. Have no worries. Remain calm. Do not panic. Everything will be fine.
This section should be fairly straightforward. Rocket Fuel gives you a set amount of velocity, which increases your distance over time. Distance gives a multiplier on point gain.
Good job making it to Generator Boosters! Tier I Generator Boosters boosts Base Point gain, and each following Tier of Generator Boosters boosts all previous Tiers. Just buy Generator Boosters, Rocket Fuel, and Generators, and keep pushing. Just be sure not to spontaneously combust and you'll be fine.
When prompted for a password, go to the Options tab and look for the "???" link in the footer. You might have to close this guide using the - or x buttons in the top right to see it. It should contain the password in plaintext.
The password for this section is "begin".
As a wise man once said, "space." The farther you go in space, the cheaper everything before will be! You also get a milestone for reaching each planet, and can activate an amount of milestones based off of what planet you're on. Don't know which milestones you should pick? That's easy! Just c̶̡̪̮͈̼̟̍̂̍̍̉͛̚ļ̶̡̨̨͇̬̱̪͉͍̠͍̱̏̂̊̀̈͆̿̈́̓͒͐̏̀̒̆͐̎̅̂̈́͑͐̅̒̽̚̚͠͝ͅí̴̢̧̡̡̧̢͉͕̝͍̮̰̦͇̤͓̬͖̘̭̩̻̜̣͚̞̺̊͌͋̐̅̏̃̄̏̒̎̆̆̾͂̍̃̔̓͗̋́̅̆̕̕͘̕͝͠͝͝͝͝͝ͅc̸̢͇̼͔͙̭̲̬̬̱̙͚͚̙̝̳̞̜̗̞̜̮̳͍̳̰͔͎̙̠̥͕̻̬̽̒̋̿̅͐̇̍͛̋̂̍̑̍̀̕̕͜ͅͅḳ̶̨̹̝͎̲͓̺̭̠̹̻̟̱̟̤̲̳̬̠̪̞̺͚̮͉̳̻́̄͛̄̀͂́̍̊̉̌͒͊̈̔̓̄̓͘͝͝ ̶̮̻̊͒͛͛̊̕̕ä̶̬͇͎̈́͛̄̓͒̋̇̔̑̓̄͂͂̈́̇̕̚̕͠͝͝͝r̴̡̧̢̢̧̳̯̰͕̠̭̤̟̪͙̗̩͔̩͓̻̗̣̳̮̬̺̠͖͉̼̉̀̂́̅̍́͂̂̆̊̂̑̈͗̾̐͑̑̃̋͛̈́́̇̕͝o̶̧͙̗̦̟̦̖̳̯̰̘͍͚͎̦͙͓̺̣̱̥͇̓̇̐̌̂̒̋̉̅̿͐̊̉̌̐̀͊̏̌̇̈́́́̓̓̈̉̈́̏̊ủ̶̡̧̢̧̗̱̟̤̥͍̗̭̱̹̲̲͈̪̗̦̟̹̥͕̯̞̯̘̹̻͈̫̣̉̓̐̂͗̋͛̿̓͗̌̂̃̓̌̽̋̔͒́͂̏̑͑̏͊̔̏̾̏̕͠͝͠ņ̸͙͕͕͇̰͚̩̦̖͛̉̈͑̓̒̉̓͜ḓ̵̨̨̼͖̺̤͈̹̣͒̂̔̾͑̓͐̓̐̌̆̾̃̾͑̾̈́̆̈́̅̐͗̈́̂̂͘̚͝͠͝ͅ ̸̨̢̡̛̼̪̟̬̦̫̗̪̝͕͓̬̗͔̝̼̭̜̜͖̬̺͐͗̔̌̋͑͑̈́̑́̒̍͌̽̈̎̐͒̂͐̆̉͜͝͝ͅͅa̶̡͍̪̭̟͔͙͙̹̘̻̟͚̩̤͕̪̬͉̹̘̰͈̾̓̌̎̊̀̇̆̋͌̅̆̅̅̊͘͝͝n̴̨̛̜̻̮͍̘͈̦̤͍͉͚͉̪̙̱͈͍̟͇̠͚̥̭͕̻̊͆̉̏͗̋̐͂̉̈͘͠d̵̢̨̨̢̧̙͉̘̲̦̲͎̖̤̯̝͕̬̬̜̩͔̩̹͉̝̭̙̥̯̱̩͆̂̾͆̒̄̀̈́͊́̀̇͐͋̂́̀̑̿̉̂̑̏̾̅̚͘͝ͅ ̴̲͈̩̟̯̣̙̹̋͐͆̈̆̄̇̂̏̉̃̈́͋͆t̸̡̩̳̝͕͓͈̬̝̖̟̞̟̥̜̲͍̮̲̔͋͐̑̈́̿͊̏̄̈̉͒͒͐̿̓̈́̌̿͋̀̆͐̆͒̚͘͝h̸̻̱̭̬̻̬͕̍̃̏̆͊̔̔̿̑͊̃̇̐̑̾́̀́̄̒̋͘͝í̵̢̧̢̛̭͍̠̥̞̺͉̲͓͓͍͚͈͎̣̮̞̓͂̃̔̊͗̀͆̔͐̒͌̽͐͗͋̊̈́̌̄͒̒̑̚͘͝͠n̸͖̭͕͈̫͙̑́̋̍̈́̃̾̄̓̑̓̆͌̔̈́̓͊̊͆͘̕͠k̷̡̨̢̡̧̨̢͇̣̗̙̠̜͉͖͙͉͕̳̬̟̤͍̘̤͇͍̟̝̝̼̜̊̅͒͋̎̈́̂̂̎́̒̀͂̒̀̔̆͋̈ͅ and you'll figure out what works best.
Space resets reduce the costs of previous items. You can only view and activate a certain number of space milestones based on which planet you're on. You can toggle milestones at any time without any sort of penalty. While there's no set strategy for which milestones are best, look for which milestones help you boost the specific number you're trying to increase, and compare the "Currently" lines. You may also need to swap between milestones mid-run for optimal progression.
The password for this section is "waiting" in normal mode, and "itgetsharder" in hard mode.
You don't have to worry anymore. There's nothing you have to do. I'll handle it from here.
This section should be fairly straightforward. Just enable automation, or disable it when you want.
The password for this section is "further" in normal mode, and "inthejs" in hard mode.
When you enter the world, you're helpless.
You're fully reliant on others for protection,
nourishment, and love. This keeps going. And
going. And going. And going. For the rest. Of
your life.
And then you're harvested.
Enjoy the points multiplier.
Content is no longer balanced past this point. If you want, you can see how far you can go. No guarantees of fun though!
The password for this section is "idea" in normal mode, and "happiness" in hard mode.
idle2.html was originally created as a shitpost. It had no content, and no real game logic. The idea was that you could see the achievements that indicated the presence of content, and the option to buy a generator, but you were one point short with no way to get it. You're playing a modification of that original concept that contains, well, the ability to gain that second point.
The circumstances that enabled the development of this project went away at the unlock of point farm. The content that exists in point farm was part of a half-hearted effort to revive development a year later.
I consider unlocking point farm the end of the game. You can mess around with point farm to see how far you can progress if you're feeling adventurous. But I promise there's nothing more past that point.
I--me--yhvr--I'm trapped in a catch-22 here because the more I write about this being the end, the more people will think it's not the end. The best I can do to try to convey this is pointing out how this says "OCTOBER 2024"--this was added as an addendum two years after I stopped working on the game. I am so sorry the game ends this abruptly. If you still don't believe me just PM me somewhere and I'll send you the source code to prove it. There's nothing more.
